Reclaimed wood, exposed brick, and warm edison glow on one of the prettiest historic streets in the Mitten. The mothership of mi State of Mind — and our favorite place to spend a Saturday.

Est. 2016
We opened the doors on Main Street back in 2016 with one idea: build a shop that feels as good to stand in as Michigan does to live in. In 2026 we're hitting the ten-year mark — a decade of flannel-and-coffee mornings, sidewalk sale Saturdays, and helping folks find a piece of home to take with them.
Downtown Rochester is the kind of street you walk slowly on. Century-old brick, twinkle lights in the trees, the river-and-railroad bones of an honest Michigan town. We're proud to be a part of it.
01 / The Tasting Bar
Tucked into the back of the shop sits our reclaimed-wood tasting bar — three Michigan wines and a hard cider on rotation, all bottled by our partners at mi State of Wine in Paw Paw. Flights, glasses, and bottles to take home. No pretense, just pours.

02 / mini michigander
The mini michigander section is the part of the store every family ends up in. Soft-as-can-be tees, mitten-patched crewnecks, and onesies for the next generation of Michiganders-in-training — sized newborn through kid.
Shop mini michigander →03 / Gift Boxes & Bundles
The hardest-working shelf in the store. Pre-packed mi gift boxes are ready to walk out the door — coffee, soda, a tee, a cap, a little something from up north.
Want something more personal? Hand-pick the contents at the counter and we'll build a custom bundle for you, tied with twine and ready to gift.

04 / The Think Michigan Wall
Along the primary side wall: Four 6 ft long landscape photographs of Michigan at its most iconic. Stand in front of them long enough and you can almost hear the lake.

The Vibe
Reclaimed barn-wood fixtures, blackened steel pipe, exposed brick, and the kind of warm edison glow that makes you want to stay for another half hour. Every shelf in the shop was built to feel a little like a Northern Michigan workshop, a little like a downtown loft, and entirely like home.
